Junior Project Manager

BG Communications, a multilingual translation and localization firm established over 25 years ago, is currently looking to fill a permanent full-time Junior Project Management position (37.5 hours per week).

​

Main responsibilities

​

The selected candidate will be responsible for receiving customer requests, opening files, and identifying and analyzing customer needs with respect to project feasibility, profitability, and planning (resources, timelines, and costs). He or she will prepare quotes, negotiate deadlines with clients, oversee the coordination of production activities, monitor project progress, and deliver translated documents.

Training and skills

  • French-English bilingualism, oral and written

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English

  • Ability to work independently and good organizational and priority management skills

  • Attention to detail and professional rigour

  • Team spirit and dynamic personality

  • Good ability to deal with stress and work under pressure

  • Availability to work overtime

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Knowledge of InDesign and/or other desktop publishing programs, an asset

  • Experience working in a project management or other role in a translation firm or service, an asset

  • Secretarial skills required

  • Diploma in secretarial work, office automation, or general administration

  • Bachelor’s degree, an asset
